The Fresco Collection

This collection is a limited stock of paintings on clay especially made to enrich stone installations. Individually painted, they have the flawless aesthetics of fine art and quietly radiate an aura of cultivation and graciousness. Collection paintings are in vignette on our Ancient Stone Finish tile, one that has an attractive natural surface grain. Soft, rich glaze colors are permanently fused to the background, akin to true fresco that becomes part of the wall on which it is painted. Framed with relief borders and liner mats, Ancient Stone Fresco ceramic paintings stand apart from other wall art media. Of course, they are designed to be used anywhere you would typically decorate with paintings, and in places where it previously not been possible - wet areas like the bath, sauna, conservatory, pool, terrace and even the kitchen. Either of two ways can be used to display an Ancient Stone Fresco painting:

• Installed - Fresco paintings look wonderful when installed with a tile frame (as shown below). Liners of stone gemstone or narrow tile are choices that show your personal taste. Installations can be devised to allow for easy removal at a later time.
• Hung - Paintings framed with tile or wood may be hung as you would any other wall art.

Ancient Stone Fresco Paintings are a stock one-of-a-kind painting made by our ceramic artists. The actual painting for sale is shown on this site. If you elect to purchase a Fresco painting you are most likely to receive the one you have seen, unless it has been sold within the past 48 hours. When a painting is sold, another rendering of the same image will be posted. It will be a close likeness because the nuances of each tile's grain guide the artist, resulting in an individualized painting of the same image. These differences between paintings with the same image are the authenticating marks of hand painting. They assure you that there is no other exactly like it.

Ancient Stone Fresco paintings are limited to an edition of fifty each and will be numbered and signed. A certificate of authenticity will be issued to the purchaser.
